The project involves modifications to the Overhead Equipment (OHE) and related works to increase the capacity from 200 to 250 locomotives at the electric loco shed. This includes the construction of a foot over bridge at both Surat and Ahmedabad ends, and the elimination of a level crossing gate between Bajwa and Karchiya. Supply and erection of GI steel structures, supply and erection of insulators, supply and erection of caution boards, supply and erection of earthing materials, supply and erection of bonds, digging and casting of concrete foundations, dismantling of existing structures.
